Заключение. Сегодня на врача ложится большая ответственность: он должен не только лечить, но и уметь анализировать образ жизни пациента и находить ключ к исправлению допущенных им ошибок; во многом это касается и отношения пациента к пище. Современный человек буквально барахтается в море различных советов по питанию, и маяком служит чаще не здоровье, а «культ стройности». В своем трактате «О диете» Гиппократ указывал, что пищевой рацион следует подбирать индивидуально: «нужно также сообразоваться и с привычкой каждого, и с временем года, и с местностью, и с возрастом». Он описал множество типов людей и свои наблюдения, какая пища может быть им полезна; немалое внимание при этом уделялось работе кишечника. Будем и мы стремиться помогать людям в их поиске телесной и душевной гармонии.
